About this site

Welcome to Wedding Photography Advice – a site dedicated to all things wedding photography!

I hope the site will develop into a valuable source of information, primarily for photographers, but also for brides and grooms.

First, I feel a quick introduction is in order… My name is Neil Redfern and I am a wedding photographer based in Manchester, England. I have been covering weddings for almost 5 years now and in that time have successfully managed to increase the number of weddings I have covered year on year – 2010 is now a record for me. In 2008 I was named the SWPP Members Choice Wedding Photographer of the Year and my the Facebook page for my photography business now has over 1,250 members.

I love wedding photography, from meeting brides for the first time to handing over their finished album, I love everything to do with the job – not that it ever feels like a job.

I do not profess to be anywhere near the finished article as a Manchester wedding photographer, far from it, but I am always looking to learn, to try new things and to better myself with each wedding I photograph. I also always enjoy sharing what I have learnt with others!

Whether it be through my own experience, or from that of other photographers, I have learnt so many things over the past few years which have helped me develop in to a better wedding photographer and, through this site, I will be sharing these hints and tips with you.

I want to make weddingphotographyadvice.com as enjoyable to read as possible so I will try to avoid photographic jargon as much as possible and I’ll try to make the posts both humorous and to the point – so no unnecessary waffle!

I also want to make the site as interactive as possible – after all, who is to say that everything I say is right?! So, as well as regularly writing posts myself, I will also be inviting other wedding photographers – and brides and grooms – to post onto the site and share their tips and experiences too.

So thank you very much again for visiting, I hope you enjoy the site!

Neil

Welcome to Wedding Photography Advice!

I'm Neil Redfern and I myself am a wedding photographer based in Manchester in the UK. I have been covering weddings for almost 4 years now but still have much to learn. In fact, one of the main reasons for setting up this site was to help me to continue improving further as a wedding photographer!

Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy the site :-)

Attention wedding photographers!

I am always grateful for new tips, so if you have some advice you would like to share, please email me at info@neilredfern.com
